Every weekday at 10 AM Eastern for the next four weeks, use GitHub to read the issues opened in [owner/repo] since your last run (on the first run, the last 24 hours). For each new issue, suggest labels from the repository's existing labels only, check open and recently closed issues for likely duplicates, and write a one-line summary of how to reproduce it. If an issue doesn't give enough to reproduce, say what's missing. Send me the results as one list in one message in ChatGPT, with the issue link first on each line and any likely duplicates linked next to it. Don't comment on, label, assign, close or reopen any issue. If there are no new issues, say so in one line. Confirm the schedule.
Paste it into your dot's conversation in ChatGPT. Edit anything in [brackets] first.
How it works
- Connect GitHub through Plugins and check that it can see the repository. Your dot only needs to read issues for this job.
- Replace the repository name, change the time and time zone to yours, and paste. Your dot should confirm the schedule back to you.
- Apply the labels you agree with yourself, or tell your dot which ones to apply. With the rule above, it asks before changing anything contributors can see.
- For a bug worth fixing, ask your dot to investigate and prepare a fix for your review. If you want it to hand the work to a Codex cloud task, create an environment in Codex first.
