Watch the #bug-reports channel in our connected Slack. When a new bug report is posted there, investigate it: find the related code on GitHub, try to reproduce it in our Codex cloud environment, and prepare a fix as a draft pull request for my review. Message me in ChatGPT with a link to the report, what you found and a link to the pull request. If you can't reproduce it, tell me what's missing. Don't post in the channel, merge anything or contact the person who reported it. Keep doing this for the next four weeks, then ask me whether to keep going. Before you start, confirm which events in that channel you can follow.
Paste it into your dot's conversation in ChatGPT. Edit anything in [brackets] first.
How it works
- Connect Slack from the desktop app, add your dot to the bug channel, and create the Codex cloud environment for your repository.
- Change the channel name and paste the prompt. Connecting Slack or adding your dot to a channel doesn’t start monitoring on its own; this request does.
- Wait for your dot to confirm which events it can follow before you rely on it.
- Each new report comes back to you in ChatGPT with a draft pull request. A completed run doesn’t by itself mean the fix works, so review each one.
- To stop, tell your dot. Pausing stops its current main task but not every delegated task; check Activity in its profile.
